Introducing Venor® Bacteria qPCR – Rapid Bacterial Detection in Just 3 Hours

Bacterial contamination is often invisible – but never harmless. With Venor® Bacteria qPCR, detect 95% of bacteria in under 3 hours. Designed for rapid screening in R&D and QC release testing of ATMPs and other short shelf-life products, this real-time PCR assay provides a fast, sensitive alternative to conventional sterility testing by targeting the highly conserved 16S rRNA coding region in the bacterial genome.

Key benefits:

  • Detect 95 % of bacteria, including slow-growing and VBNC strains

  • Ideal for cell cultures, cell-culture derived biologicals and ATMPs

  • Time-to-result: < 3 hours

  • Supports rapid R&D screening and QC release testing

Rapid. Sensitive. Ready for release.

Precision in contamination control starts with the right conversation. Meet us at Analytica 2026 in Munich (Hall A3, Booth 109A) and discuss your specific challenges in mycoplasma detection and microbiological quality control for cell culture, biopharmaceuticals, and ATMP manufacturing. We will also present our latest regulatory-compliant products Venor® Mycoplasma and Venor® Bacteria. Whether you operate in regulated production or in a research laboratory: our team looks forward to exchanging practical insights on method validation strategies and workflow optimization.

Monocyte Activation Test meets Digital PCR – The Next Generation of Pyrogen Testing

With the Rabbit Pyrogen Test (RPT) being discontinued in Europe in 2026, pharmaceutical manufacturers are facing an urgent need to transition to reliable, animal-free alternatives. The Monocyte Activation Test (MAT) has become the compendial method of choice, but implementation can be complex and resource-intensive.

In our latest white paper, we introduce NAT-MAT®, a next-generation Monocyte Activation Test that combines the established MAT with the analytical precision of digital PCR (dPCR). By measuring early cytokine gene expression instead of protein levels, NAT-MAT® enables highly sensitive detection of both endotoxin and non-endotoxin pyrogens – with a standardized, automation-friendly workflow and minimal hands-on time.

Discover how NAT-MAT®:

  • Enables earlier and more sensitive pyrogen detection

  • Improves reproducibility through housekeeping gene normalization

  • Demonstrates strong correlation to ELISA-based methods

  • Shows robust performance across pharmaceutical matrices

QUICK TIP

Stacking kills sterility:

Never stack cell culture flasks on top of each other in the incubator. Trapped moisture between the flasks creates a hidden hotspot for mold growth and cross-contamination.
